Focus for Day 17: To be transformed is to trust God

  1. In this season of transformation, God is speaking to us. We want to pray for the ability to hear Him clearly. In so doing, we want to train our senses to be receptive to His voice.

Genesis 26:1 -2 (NKJV): “[1] Now there was a famine in the land—besides the previous famine in Abraham’s time—and Isaac went to Abimelek king of the Philistines in Gerar. [2] The Lord appeared to Isaac and said, “Do not go down to Egypt; live in the land where I tell you to live.”

  1. We want to pray for resilience for all Christians. In this season where God is speaking, many of us will hear Him saying No. How well we respond to God’s “stay put” command will make all the difference. God wants His people to put their trust in Him and not in the food supplies in Egypt. We want to pray for the courage to trust God whole heartedly. We want to trust him even if the answer is a “painful” No.

Genesis 26:12 (NKJV): “[1] Isaac planted crops in that land and the same year reaped a hundredfold, because the Lord blessed him.”

Isaiah 1: 19 (NKJV): “[19] If you are willing and obedient, you will eat the good things of the land”.

  1. New seasons come with challenges. We cannot enjoy winter (summer) unless we are willing to deal with the inconvenience of the snow (heat). 31/31 is a launchpad for greater works this season. Midway and God is already doing great things in our lives and the life of our Church. We expect many testimonies at the end. Yet the devil lurks around and will try to derail us. If he did it to Jesus after His fast, we are not immune to his antics. But the Holy Spirit equips us for the journey ahead. We want to thank God for granting us victory over the antics of the devil. We want to thank God for testimonies and celebrate our victories so far.

Matthew 4:1-3 (NKJV): “[1] Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. [2] And when He had fasted forty days and forty nights, afterward He was hungry. [3] Now when the tempter came to Him, he said, “If You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread.”

2 Cor 2:11 (NLT): “[11] so that Satan will not outsmart us. For we are familiar with his evil schemes.”

We are no longer fasting, however daily 31/31 prayers continue. You are welcome to join us daily in the evening at 7:30pm for 31/31 prayers.
