Focus for Day 16: Growing Spiritually
Main Bible reading: 2 Peter 1:3 -9

‭2 Peter‬ ‭1:3‬ ‭NIV‬‬: “[3] His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness.”

  • We need to come into the consciousness that everything we need to be successful as Christians has already been made available to us. In fact, we are to rule this World (Genesis 1:26). We just need to read the Bible and find it.

Let’s pray that Christians come into this knowledge (by reading the word) and rise up to take dominion.

‭‭‭‭2 Peter‬ ‭1:5‭-‬8‬ ‭NIV‬‬: “[5] For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; [6] and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; [7] and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love. [8] For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

  • As we expect more people in the church, we also need to grow (because people can be difficult to manage). There are qualities we need to have as individuals so we can groom the younger generation.

Let’s pray that as individuals (mentioning each of them), we continually grow in these. Matthew 15: 1-9.

Matthew‬ ‭15:8‭-‬9‬ ‭NIV‬‬: “[8] These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. [9] They worship me in vain; their teachings are merely human rules.“

  • As part of transformation and growing, we need to accept that our personal/tribal cultures and traditions have no place in God’s house except His Word.

Let’s pray that we’ll let go of the wrong things as we learn the right things in the Bible.

We are no longer fasting, however daily 31/31 prayers continue. You are welcome to join us daily in the evening at 7:30pm for 31/31 prayers.
