Divine Wisdom in the Era of Artificial Intelligence

When you are stressed or preoccupied, what does your response reveal about your walk with God?

Pastor’s Insight
Recently, my daughter asked me a question at a time when I was stressed and preoccupied, so I
quickly brushed her off by saying, “I don’t know.” She replied, “Ask ChatGPT,” and my younger son
who was standing by, added, “Or you can search on Google, Daddy.” Their responses immediately
caught my attention.

We live in an age of rapid technological advancement, where access to information is instant and human innovation continues to expand. Yet information alone is not enough. We need the wisdom that comes from God. Divine wisdom enables us to discern truth from deception, remain rooted in God’s Word, and use technology in ways that honour Him. As we pray, we seek the wisdom that flows from heaven, ensuring that these technological advancements never replace dependence on God and that the fear of the Lord remains our guiding foundation.

Göttliche Weisheit im Zeitalter der künstlichen Intelligenz

Was offenbart deine Reaktion über deinen Weg mit Gott, wenn du gestresst oder innerlich beschäftigt bist?

Kürzlich stellte mir meine Tochter eine Frage, genau in einem Moment, in dem ich gestresst und gedanklich stark beschäftigt war. Ich wimmelte sie schnell ab und sagte: „Ich weiß es nicht.“ Daraufhin antwortete sie: „Dann frag doch ChatGPT.“ Mein jüngerer Sohn, der danebenstand, fügte hinzu: „Oder du kannst es bei Google suchen, Papa.“
Ihre Reaktionen haben mir sehr überrascht.

Wir leben in einer Zeit rasanter technologischer Entwicklungen, in der Informationen jederzeit und sofort verfügbar sind und menschliche Innovationen stetig voranschreiten. Doch Information allein genügt nicht. Wir brauchen die Weisheit, die von Gott kommt. Göttliche Weisheit befähigt uns, Wahrheit von Täuschung zu unterscheiden, fest im Wort Gottes verwurzelt zu bleiben und Technologie so zu nutzen, dass sie Gott ehrt.

Im Gebet suchen wir diese Weisheit, die vom Himmel kommt, damit technologische Fortschritte niemals unsere Abhängigkeit von Gott ersetzen und die Furcht des Herrn stets unser tragendes Fundament bleibt.

Lorsque tu es stressé ou préoccupé, que révèle ta réaction sur ta marche avec Dieu ?

Réflexion du pasteur

Récemment, ma fille m’a posé une question à un moment où j’étais stressé et préoccupé. Je l’ai rapidement écartée en répondant : « Je ne sais pas. » Elle m’a alors dit : « Demande à ChatGPT. » Mon fils cadet, qui se tenait à côté, a ajouté : « Ou tu peux chercher sur Google, papa. »
Leurs réactions ont immédiatement attiré mon attention.

Nous vivons une époque de progrès technologiques rapides, où l’accès à l’information est instantané et où l’innovation humaine ne cesse de croître. Pourtant, l’information seule ne suffit pas. Nous avons besoin de la sagesse qui vient de Dieu. La sagesse divine nous permet de discerner la vérité de la tromperie, de demeurer enracinés dans la Parole de Dieu et d’utiliser la technologie d’une manière qui l’honore.

Dans la prière, nous recherchons cette sagesse qui vient du ciel, afin que les avancées technologiques ne remplacent jamais notre dépendance de Dieu et que la crainte du Seigneur demeure le fondement qui nous guide.

Stirring Up the Gifts of the Holy Spirit and All My God-Given Abilities

What gift or ability has God placed in you that you may have neglected, hidden or stopped using?

Short Insight
Pastor Ernest once said, “Someone’s salvation is connected to your obedience.” Your obedience to serve, your obedience to use your gifts, your obedience to disciple others and even your obedience to confront and to overcome fear or insecurity can open the door for someone else to encounter Christ.

God has placed unique gifts and abilities within each of us for His glory and for the blessing of others. These gifts are meant to be cultivated, exercised, and faithfully stewarded—not ignored or hidden. 2 Timothy 1:6 calls us to actively stir up what God has deposited within us, while 1 Corinthians 12:4–7 reminds us that every gift—spiritual or practical—comes from the same Spirit and is given with purpose.

For those of us whom the enemy seeks to discourage with doubt, Romans 11:29 reassures us that God does not withdraw His calling or His gifts. So today, as we wait upon the Lord, let us ignite what He has placed within us, overcome fear, and position ourselves as vessels through which someone else may encounter salvation.

Pastor Ernest sagte einmal: „Die Errettung eines Menschen ist mit deinem Gehorsam verbunden.“ Dein Gehorsam zu dienen, dein Gehorsam, deine Gaben einzusetzen, dein Gehorsam, andere zu Jüngern zu machen, und sogar dein Gehorsam, Angst oder Unsicherheit zu begegnen und sie zu überwinden, kann die Tür dafür öffnen, dass jemand Christus begegnet.

Gott hat in jeden von uns einzigartige Gaben und Fähigkeiten gelegt – zu Seiner Ehre und zum Segen anderer. When your faith feels routine, delayed or challenged, what helps you stay committed to God?

Short Insight
Many times, we hear a version of the Gospel that seems to promise a challenge-free life. But let’s face it, if you have been doing this Christianity thing for some time now….I mean, if you have been following Jesus sincerely, you will realize that the Christian journey requires perseverance, faithfulness, and endurance. Galatians 6:9 encourages us not to grow weary, but to keep going, trusting that consistency produces lasting fruit—whether in a soul won for the Kingdom, a ministry built with passion, or a personal breakthrough shaped by obedience. Hebrews 10:23 reminds us that our confidence is anchored in God’s faithfulness, not our circumstances. When we remain steadfast, God uses our perseverance to build maturity, strength, and a faith that endures.

Bien souvent, nous entendons une version de l’Évangile qui semble promettre une vie sans difficultés. Mais soyons réalistes : si tu marches avec Jésus depuis un certain temps et que tu Le suis sincèrement, tu réaliseras que le chemin chrétien demande persévérance, fidélité et endurance. Galates 6.9 nous encourage à ne pas nous lasser, mais à continuer, en ayant confiance que la constance produit un fruit durable — qu’il s’agisse d’une âme gagnée pour le Royaume, d’un ministère bâti avec passion ou d’une percée personnelle façonnée par l’obéissance. Hébreux 10.23 nous rappelle que notre assurance est ancrée dans la fidélité de Dieu et non dans les circonstances. God is still speaking, even in a generation filled with noise and competing voices. At times, our flesh speaks louder than our spirit, adding to the overwhelming noise around us. Hearing God’s voice requires more than spiritual awareness—it requires a willing and obedient heart. As John 10:27 reminds us, those who belong to Christ recognize His voice and follow Him. Today as we fast let’s check ourselves.  James 1:22–25 challenges us not to stop at hearing, but to respond with obedience. When we silence distractions, resist selective hearing, and choose obedience over convenience, God’s voice brings clarity, direction and life.

Gott spricht immer noch – selbst in einer Generation voller Lärm und konkurrierender Stimmen. Manchmal spricht unser Fleisch lauter als unser Geist und verstärkt so das überwältigende Geräusch um uns herum. Die Stimme Gottes zu hören erfordert mehr als geistliche Wahrnehmung; es braucht ein williges und gehorsames Herz. Johannes 10,27 erinnert uns daran, dass diejenigen, die zu Christus gehören, Seine Stimme erkennen und Ihm folgen. Während wir heute fasten, sind wir eingeladen, uns selbst zu prüfen. Jakobus 1,22–25 fordert uns heraus, nicht nur Hörer des Wortes zu sein, sondern Täter. Entendre et obéir à la voix de Dieu

Courte méditation
Dieu parle encore, même dans une génération remplie de bruit et de voix concurrentes. Parfois, notre chair parle plus fort que notre esprit, ajoutant au tumulte qui nous entoure. Entendre la voix de Dieu demande plus qu’une simple sensibilité spirituelle : cela requiert un cœur disposé et obéissant. Jean 10.27 nous rappelle que ceux qui appartiennent à Christ reconnaissent Sa voix et Le suivent. En ce temps de jeûne, prenons le temps de nous examiner. Jacques 1.22–25 nous exhorte à ne pas nous contenter d’entendre la Parole, mais à la mettre en pratique. Lorsque nous faisons taire les distractions, résistons à l’écoute sélective et choisissons l’obéissance plutôt que la facilité, la voix de Dieu apporte clarté, direction et vie.

Being Set Apart – A Holy Life Unto the Lord

Welcome to the second half of our 2026 Fasting and Prayer season. We invite you to join us as we continue to seek renewed strength, deeper faith and closer fellowship with God. Today we begin by reflecting on the following;

Short Insight
Being set apart for God does not mean withdrawing from life but choosing daily to live differently.

God calls us to be set apart because He Himself is holy. This means God is pure, righteous and completely different from all creation. This does not make Him unrelatable or distant, it simply means God belongs to a different category of being.

In Leviticus 20:26, the Lord declares that He has separated His people to belong to Him. This calling is echoed in 1 Peter 1:15-16, where we are instructed to be holy in all we do, reflecting God’s character in our daily lives, while navigating the journey of sharing the Gospel and the love of Christ. Over these past weeks of fasting, we have been reminded of the importance of living in anticipation of Christ and intentionally sharing His love. As we pursue holiness, we aim to be relatable, yet guided by values that set us apart.

Romans 12:1 shows us how this holiness is lived out—not through rituals alone, but by offering ourselves as living sacrifices and allowing God to renew our minds. When we surrender our thoughts, desires, and actions to God, our lives become an act of worship that is pleasing to Him.

We give thanks to God for His unfailing grace and guidance as we step into the month of July. Having come this far by faith, we are encouraged to continue our journey with boldness, conviction, and a renewed commitment to living out our faith daily.

This month’s theme is: Living Your Faith in the Public Sphere
In a time when faith is often confined to private spaces, we are reminded that our Christian witness must also shine in our workplaces, communities, and wider society. Let us be intentional about expressing Christ through our words, actions, and decisions, wherever He has placed us.

Key Highlights This Month:

  • Youth Ministry – Transformers Class:
    Our youth continue to grow and be equipped through the Transformers Class. This month’s sessions will take place on the 5th of July and 19th of July. We encourage all youth to participate and invite others to join.
  • Summer Church at the Park – Sunday, 13th July:
    We’re delighted to announce Summer Church at the Park!
    Join us for a special outdoor service on Sunday, 13th July 2025 at Katzensee, starting at 10:30am. It will be a joyful time of worship, fellowship, and the Word of God. Bring your family, friends, picnic blankets.

As we embrace this new month, may the Lord stir in us a deeper desire to represent Him boldly and lovingly in the public sphere. May His light shine through each of us, bringing hope, healing, and truth to those around us. Let us continue to serve with joy, walk with purpose, and live by faith.

We thank God for His faithfulness in bringing us to the halfway point of 2025. As we enter the month of June, we are reminded of His sustaining grace and are encouraged to continue our journey with renewed strength and focus.

The theme for this month is “Stir It Up” based on 2 Timothy 1:6 – “Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you…” It is a call to rekindle our passion, to awaken our spiritual gifts, and to press forward in the power of the Holy Spirit.

  • National Prayer Festival
    The National Prayer Festival, which marks the climax of the 14-Day National Prayer and Fasting Programme, will take place on Friday, 6th June 2025 at the Zurich City Church Auditorium. The entire church is invited to come together in unity as we seek a powerful move of the Holy Spirit through fervent prayer and heartfelt worship.
  • Youth Ministry – Transformers Class – 7th June
    For all youth: grow in your identity, faith, and calling through relevant and engaging teaching.
  • Pastoral Ordination Service – Zurich District
    With great joy, we announce the upcoming ordination of our District Pastor, Pastor Ernest Bamfo Ernoh, on Sunday, 22nd June 2025 at Zurich City Church. Let us continue to uphold him in prayer as he is officially commissioned for the work of the ministry.
